It's not long now until the WORLD'S & NALGA NATIONALS so hopefully your golf is getting into shape as they are sure to be fantastic championships.
The NALG QLD Division held its September event at Coolangatta-Tweed last weekend. Thanks to Mr Grant Schindel for sponsoring the day. The 'JIMMY SCHINDEL' championship was won by NALG QLD this year as our NALG Northern Rivers Team were unable to attend due to their fabulous golfing trip. Trust they are having an awesome time and look forward to seeing them in 2018. The Ray Meiers Mug was won by Mr Jeff Hogan (32 Points) and Mr Robert Scholz won the Righties (31 points). Congratulations to both gentlemen! All NALG QLD members who played were super impressed by the quality of the course seeing that next week is their planned greens renovation phase.
Mr Phil Hart officiated his last NALG QLD event at Coolangatta-Tweed as he has now retired as Captain. Phil is to be congratulated for the many years he has dedicated to NALG QLD as Captain and wish him well in his retirement. I believe he will have a lot more time for golf and travel in 2018!
The end of year NALG QLD 2017 weekend at Hervey Bay and Maryborough is locked in for November 24th - 26th. Please email email@example.com for contact details for tee times and accommodation with the sponsors Colonial Village YHA if planning to attend and you didn't receive the email. Thank you to John & Janice Andrewartha for organising this fantastic annual event!
For those wondering what NALG QLD 2018 will look like under the new committee, all will be revealed by the end of the year. The Captain elect Mr Jeff Hogan and the President elect Mr Colin Clark are currently looking at courses and event planning with Treasurer Mr Tony Flynn and myself. NALG QLD 2018 will certainly excite all members so 'stay tuned' for more information!
